We have been manufacturing our Standard Switchable Smart Film for lamination for over 20 years. This type of PDLC technology is used mainly by glass processors where they wish to laminate the Smart Privacy Film into glass.

Over the years there have been a number of improvements made to the liquid crystal and the latest generation of film offers excellent performance, consistency, clarity, opacity and longevity.

A simple ON-OFF mode switches the film from being clear (transparent) to frosted (opaque). In its frosted state the film acts as an electronic blind providing privacy and security for any glass, window or partition. The film is laminated using an EVA foil (bagging method) with a standard autoclave, further instruction can be provided should you want to make this investment int our product.

Once the lamination process has been completed and the Switchable Laminate Glass is ready, you then need to connect to a simple switch / wireless remote and power. This will give the glass the desired turning on for transparent and off for translucent to achieve the privacy required.

The non-adhesive Switchable Smart Film for lamination is available in widths up to 1800mm with a maximum sheet length of 4000mm, which can be cut to any size or shape..
