If you’re needing a lighter weight more flexible Switchable substrate then we can offer our finished panels in an acrylic / plexiglass or even polycarbonate.

Using our patented process or even using our self-adhesive film the switchable layer is factory-coated onto the plastic substrate. This is also works really well for projection (available as front or rear projection in this form).

Our standard toughened Switchable Glass tends to be our most popular option worldwide offering a cost-effective solution where the liquid crystal Switchable coating is bonded directly to a toughened glass panel. Switchable Glass, also known as Smart Glass, switches from frosted to clear at the flick of a switch.

Our Switchable Acrylics panels are super popular for applications and projects where you need to save weight, such as a projection screen solution being suspended from a ceiling or when they’re needing to be moved around events / exhibitions, shows and even theatrical performances.

We can work with almost any size and thickness of acrylic, then by using our in-house processes we have created a product with superior clarity, weight saving and easy to handle solution for our customers.

A simple ON-OFF mode switches the glass from being clear (transparent) to frosted (opaque). In its frosted state, the Switchable layer acts as an electronic blind providing privacy and security for any glass, window or partition.

Switchable Acrylic sheets can be manufactured to any size in widths up to 1800mm. Larger sizes and custom shapes are also available. Multiple panels can be joined together to create large switchable glazed walls or partitions.
